Core – 12V 50Ah Deep Cycle Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery

BMS Upgrade: The BMS (Battery Management System) upgrade ensures improved battery performance, longer battery life, and enhanced safety. It monitors the battery’s health, controls charging and discharging, and balances the cells within the battery pack. Class A Battery Cell: Class A battery cells are known for their high-quality performance and longevity. They offer excellent capacity, power output, and cycle life. The Class A battery cell is also known for its reliability. Unibody Design: The unibody design of the battery offers exceptional strength and durability. It ensures a solid structure that can withstand rough handling and extreme conditions. The unibody design also makes the battery easy to install and maintain, reducing the overall cost of ownership. IP65 Splash-proof: The IP65 rating ensures that the battery will perform consistently, even in wet or dirty conditions. It offers an extra layer of durability and reliability, making it suitable for use in harsh environments or outdoor applications.

Both series and parallel connections of LiFePO4 batteries can increase the overall performance of the battery pack and are used in a variety of applications such as RVs, boats, and solar homes. In a series connection, the voltage output of the battery pack increases, while in a parallel connection, the capacity increases. Efficiency: Parallel connection of LiFePO4 batteries is generally more efficient than series connection because each cell or battery charges and discharges independently. This ensures that the entire pack is not affected if one cell or battery fails or becomes damaged. In contrast, if one cell or battery in a series-connected pack fails or becomes damaged, it can affect the performance of the entire pack. Cost: Parallel connection of LiFePO4 batteries is generally more expensive than series connection because it requires additional wiring and hardware to ensure proper operation and safety of the pack. However, the increased capacity and efficiency may justify the additional cost in some applications.

We recommend connecting a maximum of 4S4P when using this battery. While it is possible to connect up to 4S8P, it may increase the risk of safety issues.

“To ensure the longevity of lithium batteries, it is essential to take proper care of them. Here are some key tips: Implement a Battery Management System (BMS): The BMS controls the charging and discharging process of the battery, regulating the voltage and current. It provides multi-level protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, current limiting, short circuit, and reverse polarity. Additionally, it has a 0V charging function that can reactivate or repair long-unused batteries. Monitor Temperature: It is crucial to maintain the battery within an appropriate temperature range. Extreme temperatures can significantly affect the lifespan of the lithium battery. Please ensure that it is stored at the temperature of -25°C-65°C/ -13℉~149℉. Optimize Storage Conditions: To prolong the lifespan of your battery, we recommend storing it at a 50% charge level. Additionally, it is recommended to recharge the battery every three months to maintain its optimal performance. By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your lithium battery will last longer and remain in good condition for a longer period.”

“LiFePO4 battery is more popular than AGM despite its higher cost due to several factors: Safety and Stability: LiFePO4 batteries offer superior thermal stability and charge-discharge cycle stability, making them safer and less prone to overheating or fire. Longevity and Low Maintenance: LiFePO4 batteries usually have a 4X longer lifespan and can withstand more charging cycles without significant loss of capacity or performance and they require less frequent replacement. High Power Density: LiFePO4 batteries boast excellent power density, enabling them to deliver power rapidly and efficiently, crucial for electric vehicles requiring rapid acceleration and sustained power delivery. Environmental Friendliness: LiFePO4 batteries are free of toxic elements and are environmentally friendly. Despite AGM’s lower cost, the advantages of LiFePO4 batteries in terms of safety, longevity, power density, and environmental friendliness make them more popular in various applications.”

Yes. Renogy 12V Core Series Batteries can be connected in series to ramp up voltage for a 24V, 36V, or 48V off-grid power system. You can also consider wiring batteries in series first and then wire sets of batteries (same models required) in parallel for maximum power up to 10.24kWh.
